Kill Paris to change his artist name in light of Paris attacks
The entire world has felt the aftershock of the tragedy that occurred late Friday night in Paris, France. Specifically, producer Corey Baker, more commonly known as Kill Paris, has decided to distance his artist name from recent events.
In a Facebook post, Baker explained that originally, the inspiration for the name Kill Paris came to him after reading Romeo and Juliet and specifically the character Paris, who was Juliet’s suitor in the story.
“The events in Paris yesterday have made me feel that my name as an artist is not appropriate anymore,” Baker shared in his post. “What my music stands for is love and peace, and I hope my fans know that. Moving forward, I do not want people to get the wrong idea about me and my music just because I’ve gone under a particular pseudonym.”
Moving forward, he will take on the new moniker, Chill Harris.
