Residents aim to shut down second annual Time Warp Festival
New York City locals are seeking to cancel the second annual Time Warp USA, citing “quality of life issues” such as parking and the influx of intoxicated people as major concerns. Set to take place on November 20th and 21st at the Bedford-Union Armory in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, the international event has become well-known as one of the world’s premier techno events since its inception. Time Warp, as most electronic fans are aware, began in Germany in 1994 and made history ten years later when it landed in the US for the first time.
For the past month, Assemblyman Walter Mosley has been attempting to move the city to shut down the event, expressing both his worry and confusion as to who approved of the festival to begin with. But despite the backlash to Time Warp’s fast-approaching event, the festival has responded with seemingly little concern for the pushback. “All procedures thus far have been properly handled. We are underway for a seamless event at Bedford Union Armory,” Time Warp has stated.
