Tchami launches Confession label as a platform for his future house vision
For several years now, French future house magnate Tchami has helped popularize the genre alongside Dutch producer Oliver Heldens. Armed with a growing and increasingly devoted fan-base alongside his status as one of future house’s most prominent producers, his career has ascended to a new stage: record label owner.
Having released two mixes on his Soundcloud under the name “Confessions,” his new record label will take the singular form of the word. He will be using the label as a platform to promote his unique sonic signature and other artists’ work that he feels coincides with his vision. “I [also] love the idea of being more independent and giving artists, including myself, another option to release music,” stated the producer on the launch of Confession.
The label may be in its infancy, but Tchami already has industrious plans for it. November 18th will see Confession’s first release, an original production by ANGELZ called “Hey Girl.” Malaa’s first single on the label “Notorious” will follow shortly after. The boss himself will also be releasing his debut label EP in early 2016. In the meantime, a minimix has been made available to stream that embodies what Tchami will be curating in the coming months as Confessions begins its development.
