Tiësto and Oliver Heldens’ brainchild ‘Wombass’ finally sees its release along with new music video
Back in October, buzz began to stir around Oliver Heldens and Tiësto when the Netherlands’ future house pioneer revealed that a collaboration between the two was imminent. Dance fans hypothesized what genre-melding by-product would come from the two Dutch powerhouses, and it has come in the form of “Wombass.”
Upon the initial listen, the record sounds a little more like Oliver Heldens than Tiësto’s usual doing. With ground-shaking metallic synths driving the track with hi-hats briskly running atop, “Wombass” is the quintessential future house output that brings the story of Oliver Heldens full circle. Now, he finally joins forces with the mentor who helped launch his surging career. Like “Gecko,” “Wombass” is available on Tiësto’s Musical Freedom imprint along with its bizarre official music video above.
