Voodoo Festival forced to cancel 3rd day due to heavy rain
Rain is the bane of any festival’s existence, more so in America this year in particular. By the time wet weather had destroyed TomorrowWorld in Georgia, awful conditions had left thousands stranded, brewing a media craze of epic proportions that almost caused the festival not to return in 2016.
Sadly, Mother Nature conveniently struck New Orleans with a terrible storm this year right as its much-hyped Voodoo Festival was taking place. The Halloween extravaganza fell victim to heavy rains on its second day, with hardly any break from the torrential downpour. Luckily, promoters and festival organizers stepped in before any further damage or a possible repeat of TomorrowWorld occurred and opted to cancel its third day in addition to grant partial refunds.
