Watch This: Disclosure bring out Sam Smith & Lorde to perform on ‘Saturday Night Live’
Disclosure fans got a double dose of brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence last night following their Saturday Night Live debut, where they performed two singles off their latest album Caracal. The UK house duo brought out friend and frequent collaborator, Sam Smith, for the evening’s first performance of “Omen” – the follow-up to the threesome’s 2013 smash, “Latch.” While it’s difficult for any artist to sound their best with SNL’s acoustics, Smith delivered a pitch perfect lead vocal as per usual that sounded equally as flawless as the recording.
Assisted by a backing drumline, Lorde later joined Disclosure for their collaboration “Magnets.” The stage’s colors lit up in the “bleu, blanc et rouge” of the French flag out of respect for the victims of the tragic terrorist attacks in Paris on Friday night. Check out the performance below.
Matthew McConaughy will host next week’s SNL, with superstar Adele as the musical guest. She will be performing material from her forthcoming album, 25, which releases on November 20.
