Axwell releases new single as part of Axtone Ten compilation
Among the myriad of big room entities releasing music to the masses, Axtone Records‘ illustrious contributions have pushed the imprint into elite company. Not only the home base for its founder’s solo work, Axwell‘s creation has become a platform for some of the genre’s largest stars and newest talents to shine. Work from Eric Prydz, Dirty South, Sebastian Ingrosso, Adrian Lux, and Swanky Tunes have all landed on the label during its ten years in operation. New talent has been fostered as well, as names like Kryder, NEW_ID, CamelPhat, and Shapov make up the newest contingency to rise through the ranks.
With ten years of Axtone upon the dance music world, the Swedish imprint has released a special compilation that highlights the best of the past, present, and future of the label. Immediately welcoming the album to fruition, Axwell’s latest single emerges. Not destined to be a big room showstopper that dominates festivals for the next six months, “Waited For So Long(Gloria)” is a slowed down, melodic tribute to the Swedish star’s wife.
Two of the imprint’s newest additions also take center stage. Shapov unites with Justin Tranter on “Our World” and the result is a unique, progressive output that showcases what this imprint is capable of moving forward. Klahr takes on Adrian Lux’s latest original mix and transforms the vocal-driven record into a dance-able marvel.
The celebration consists of forty-four tracks that highlight the best productions in Axtone’s history. A truly, time-tested entity that seems to be aging like fine wine, Axtone pushes forward into 2016 with a wrecking-ball like heap of momentum. Industry stalwarts still flock to the imprint, while the genre’s rising stars present what could be the future of dance music.
