Carl Cox reveals official dates for Australia’s Pure Festival

Winding down his years as a Space Ibiza resident, techno legend Carl Cox announced earlier in the fall that his career was progressing into a festival creator. Dedicated to “underground DJs who have a vibe for house and techno” to the surface, Pure will debut in Australia this April. Dates have finally been announced: the Sydney stop will take place on April 30th at the Horden Pavillon, while Melbourne will receive its stop a week before on the 23rd.

A country with larger populations of hardstyle and Future fans, news of a Carl Cox-run festival is undoubtedly exciting to techno and house fans desiring something outside the status quo. The legend himself spoke about Pure’s fruition recently, stating, “Hopefully it’s something people look forward to on the calendar every year. The DJs we’re looking at bringing over are awesome.” Considering the artist’s status and tastes over the past two decades, we’re sure it will be a wild success.
