Carlo Lio – Welcome To The Flipside (Nicole Moudaber Remix)

Canadian underground mainstay Carlo Lio has continued to impress with his arsenal of tech cuts on Dubfire’s Sci+Tec label and well-spun sets across the globe. Wrapping up the year, we see the veteran taking up a spot among Coyu’s cat-centric Suara family for the release of his Technicolour Boogie EP.

Chus & Ceballos and Lebanese maestro Nicole Moudaber have been enlisted for remix duties of the two tracks. Nicole’s remix of “Welcome To The Flipside” was a definite standout of the EP, diving into techno’s darker depths with thumping bass and metallic hits lining the background. Though the original is already hypnotic in nature, the re-work, with its deepened chord progressions and faster tempo, render you even more entangled in its grasp. Available for purchase on Beatport, Technicolour Boogie and its accompanying remixes prove a motivating set of compositions to propel you into the new year.
