DA Premiere: Aaliyah – Age Ain’t Nothin’ But a Number (Whiiite & Jesse Slayter Remix)
Trap visionary Whiiite has built a credible reputation in the genre’s community. With a diverse catalog of remixes and originals, the LA-based producer has consistently impressed with his ability to balance bass-heavy arrangements and intricate melodies in various capacities. To kick off his forthcoming bootleg pack, Whiiite has tapped Jesse Slayter to collaborate on a remix of Aaliyah’s ’94 classic, “Age Ain’t Nothin’ But A Number.”
Gravitating towards both producer’s softer sides, Whiiite and Slayter play off the original’s steamy R&B nature to lay a captivating introduction. The 808-savvy team then let their creativity fly with an imaginative flurry of airy whistle melodies, echoing chimes, and whirling hi-hats. The first of many, Whiiite’s full remix pack will be available on December 18.
