DA Premiere: Ashworth – Second Guess
New York upstart Ashworth is making a name for himself with his catchy blend of songwriting and electronic-pop production. He first broke onto the scene with a remix of Maroon 5’s “She Will Be Loved,” only to follow it up with his first original, “God Must Be a Lonely Man.”
Now Ashworth returns with a new original, “Second Guess,” once again showcasing his songwriting chops by lending his own vocals to the song as well as guitar and string accompaniments. With these elements in mind, the song presents an entirely cohesive sound, albeit more on the commercial side of the dance spectrum.
It’s early days for Ashworth, but if his track record suggests anything thus far, he’s certainly a producer to watch in the crossover pop realm.
