Former Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland found dead

Scott Weiland, 48, has reportedly died. The Grammy award-winning vocalist was best known for his work with Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver. On tour with his most recent outfit, The Wildabouts, in Minnesota, Weiland’s manager found him dead in his tour bus.
Weiland’s wife, photographer Jamie Weiland, confirmed his death to the LA Times:
“‘I can’t deal with this right now,’ she said, sobbing. ‘It’s true.'”
In a now deleted tweet, Jane’s Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro said, “Just learned our friend Scott Weiland has died. So gutted, I am thinking of his family tonight.”
Weiland had a known history of substance abuse. Currently, his cause of death has not been publicly confirmed.
