Galantis plans to release new album in 2016

Good news for Galantis fans: the Swedish group revealed plans to release a new album next year. The duo, comprised of Miike Snow‘s Christian Karlsson and Style of Eye‘s Linus Eklöw, have had a busy year, filled with nearly non-stop touring around the globe and record-breaking accolades on smash hits like “Runaway (U & I).” Galantis doesn’t show any signs of slowing down in 2016, after announcing a 10-date US tour that will run through March.

Their upcoming tour will draw upon lessons learned from their global touring this year. Eklöw spoke to Irish media organization RTÉ and revealed that “we’ve been working pretty hard on setting up the European tour and we always bring the highest energy. That’s why we travel the globe. We can’t sit still on stage. We are constantly changing things up and every show is different. I don’t think we could live with ourselves if we stuck to a fixed set.”

Eklöw also suggested the possibility of a new album coming from such a creatively-packed schedule. “We are going to tour a lot in 2016 and we are constantly working on new music. There’s going to be a lot of new music coming out next year. I’m hoping for another album to see the day of light. We are going to try and reach all of the corners of the world next year.”
