Good Morning Mix: Joris Voorn’s amazing ‘2015 Year Mix’
Aside from being one of house and techno’s more reputable producers, Dutch artist Joris Voorn has proven a veritable tastemaker in the scene. His annual ‘Year Mix’ serves to highlight some of the top tracks of the year from a wide variety of labels like Kompakt, Ninja Tune, Ultramajic, M_nus and more. From more underrated cuts like Agoria’s “Alluvion” to Beatport killers like &ME’s “Woods,” Voorn touches on a bit of everything. As typical of the annual affair, he manages to mix an extraordinary amount of tunes into the hour and fifteen minute affair: 41 in this case.
