New app LiveList lets you live stream concerts from your phone

A new app has launched today that allows you to live stream concerts straight from your phone. LiveList, as it’s known, works by aggregating thousands of live streaming performances from across the web and curating them into one central hub. Users can then bookmark shows, follow artists, and get notifications when their shows go live.

“After growing organically and exponentially over the last 5 years, it’s clear that live-streaming concerts has become a viable path for artists to engage and monetize their fanbases in a more intimate way than has ever been available.” – Allen Sanford, co-founder and CEO of LiveList

It’s no secret that the live streaming medium has exploded over the past few years. The growth is evident in everything from the prevalence of festival broadcasts to the amount of artists utilizing services like Twiitch and YouTube to communicate with fans. Electronic music in particular has harnessed the technology with open arms. Platforms like Boiler Room and the Mixmag lab have made viewing high-quality, live streamed DJ sets a regular occurrence, drawing in thousands of viewers across the world with their weekly broadcasts.

Beyond electronic music, LiveList aggregates everything from rock shows to live orchestra performances. Check out a special playlist curated for Dancing Astronaut below, and download LiveList for free from the App Store.
