“NSFW” videos can be found quite often on social media feeds, but Canadian performance artist Peaches’ latest music video for her single “Rub” might just be the most explicit of them all. Beneath the five-minute-long graphic visuals of various women’s bodies and their uninhibited actions lies the 47-year-old Toronto native’s unapologetic interpretation of what it means to be a woman as well as the power and free-will they possess. Topics like “penis envy,” hermaphrodite stigmatism, homosexuality and the disregard for traditional gender norms are examined in the visually stimulating video above.
