Rave legend, Guru Josh, dies at 51 in Ibiza

Known for his prolific ’90s rave anthem, “Infinity,” Paul Walden — better known by his stage name Guru Josh — passed away at the age of 51 on Monday. Walden was found dead in his home in Ibiza that he shared with his manager. The cause of death has yet to be released.

The Jersey-born producer broke into the UK charts with his debut single “Infinity” during the ’90s dance music upsurge. In 2008, Ultra Records re-released the track through the Guru Josh Project, a band formed by Walden, Anders Nyman and Darren Bailie that played an impactful role in dance music’s crossover into the US market. Shortly after the popularity of “Infinity,” Guru Josh set up shop in Ibiza where he opened a graphic design business and a rave promotions company.
