Is Calvin Harris the final headliner of Coachella 2016?
Coachella’s lineup is rumored to drop this week. Sources close to the festival have confirmed Calvin Harris as the third headliner for the forthcoming 2016 iteration. If true, the Scottish producer would join Guns N’ Roses and LCD Soundsystem as the final headliner on the bill.
It’s far from an unlikely scenario. Despite performing at the festival in 2014, Harris has since released a Gold-certified album, Motion, collaborated with Disciples on one of the biggest tracks of 2015, “How Deep Is Your Love,” and continued his streak as the highest paid DJ in the world.
Harris’s supposed headlining slot would draw an obvious parallel to Swedish House Mafia, whose famed set from the polo grounds in 2012 remains one of their most talked about performances to date.
While nothing is certain until the final lineup drops, fans may very well be seeing Calvin Harris perform a stadium-sized show from the main stage of Coachella come April.
