Saje make silky, downtempo dance music with an alluring R&B edge. The Parisian duo have amassed a serious following over the past year, including support from ODESZA, who have been championing their originals in their “NO.SLEEP” mixes.

The group’s latest EP, Freefallin’ Dreams, has found its home on indie French touch label, Roche Musique. One stream of the title single is more than enough to infatuate one with Saje’s dreamy compositions. With their fanciful aesthetic and yearnful lyrics, comparisons to acts like Chet Faker and Tame Impala are practically inevitable. Their French identity, however, remains dutifully intact with their dancier, disco-inspired grooves, evident on tracks like “Our Story” and “Raspberry.”

The EP is further rounded out by some incredible remixes from Katuchat and Kartell, who put their respective spins on “Free Fallin’ Dreams” and Our Story,’ offering a more electronic-centric take on the singles. Kartell’s rendition is particularly engrossing, showcasing some fluttering saw waves over a friendly midtempo beat. He said of the remix: “On this song I’ve looked for a balance between lightness and strength, the voice of Saje’s singer is suspended around the gimmick ‘Our Story’ and the chords have inspired something aerial.”
