Four entrepreneurs are hoping to Kickstart an EDM food truck

Four entrepreneurs from Massachusetts are hoping to bring their dream, a solar-powered food truck called Electric Dance Munchies, to reality with the help of Kickstarter. The truck will sell food and rave gear with a soundtrack from founder DJ Fazi Snaxxx, who will “be providing the beats from Ableton Live 9 and his Launchpad.”

Electric Dance Munchies is requesting $11,000 to get off of the ground, and would serve locales including cities, parks, colleges, and concerts. The projected menu includes bagels, organic wraps, paninis, smoothies, and coffee, and the rave gear for purchase may include LED gloves, flashing sunglasses, and highlighted T-shirts. Phil Fazioli (also known as DJ Fazi Snaxxx) goes further into detail and explains the inspiration for the truck on the group’s Kickstarter page: “It has been my dream to start a traveling food truck since I began college in 2008. My original idea was to call the truck and business, ‘Fazi Snacks’ after my last name (and a play on Scooby Snacks). But with the recent emergence of Electronic Dance Music, I came up with the idea to fuse two industries together: food and music. Born from this was the name ‘Electric Dance Munchies’ (EDM for short).”

The EDM team addresses risks and challenges on their Kickstarter page, which includes a two-minute video pitch. If successful, the EDM truck may be coming soon to a rave near you!
