Norway is the homeland for many influential dance music artists like Kygo, Lido, and Lemaitre, the funky duo who should be on your radar. Lemaitre, who notably collaborated with Porter Robinson on “Polygon Dust,” follow up their 2014 EP Singularity with their next studio release, 1749, and drop the first preview with the single, “Stepping Stone.”

Featuring Mark Johns on vocals, “Stepping Stone” is a jagged little thrill that’s forged by vigorous riffs and scintillating synths. Johns’ crooning vocals illuminate Lemaitre’s experimental dark dance-rock sound, resulting in a radiant first-look at 1749, out later this month on the 29th via Astralwerks (US) and Universal (UK).
