Walter Merziger and Arno Kammermeie spent some time away from Booka Shade to traverse their darker roots under Yaruba, and it appears their recent work has carried back into their prime alias. Hosted by Hot Since 82’s Knee Deep In Sound imprint, their newest creation “Neon Gods” is a chunky house offering with a contemplative tone.

Daudi Matsiko lends an excellent vocal performance over groovy bass and percussive elements that mark the track as none other than a Booka Shade creation. Premiered first on Annie Mac’s BBC1 show, “Neon Gods” will see an official release on March 11th.
