Carl Cox drops Pure’s inaugural lineup
Carl Cox is having a moment in the limelight as a festival curator, bringing an all-new techno festival to Sydney and Melbourne that he calls Pure. He’s vowed to gather “the best DJs playing the best music” from the underground — according to an interview with inthemix — and bring them to Australia.
The techno legend has now revealed who he believes fits this vision best for the festival’s inaugural edition, recruiting Murat Killic and Matntra Collective to support the Sydney stop and Scott Freedman and Mike Callendar to assist in Melbourne. Heavier acts Joseph Capriati, Format:B, DJ HMC, and Eric Powell will provide their talents behind the decks at both shows as primary support.
Pure reaches its Australian destinations on April 23 & 24, and tickets go on sale February 18.
