Dancing Astronaut presents Axis episode 164: Mixed by MORTEN

Danish spectacle, MORTEN, started the year off in a big way when his single “Beautiful Heartbeat” earned the first release spot on venerated Swedish label, PRMD. A playful synthesis of pop and future house, the track was accompanied by a heavy remix pack featuring the imprint’s lead talent Avicii, as well as Melbourne bounce boss Deorro, indie-dance luminary RAC, and newcomer Nine Lives.

Though the single may have gravitated more towards radio-friendly crowd, MORTEN’s expertise in dance-fueled tracks goes back to his humble beginnings DJing in his teenage years. Now the producer looks to set the stage right for his upcoming year by taking over the decks for the 164th episode of AXIS. Shrewdly displaying the versatility in which a festival-directed mix can be crafted nowadays, MORTEN lines up an electrifying assortment of selections across a plethora of genres from progressive house to future house to jungle terror and dubstep.
