Good Morning Mix: Baauer creates a dark mix for Alexander Wang
Baauer is gearing up for the release of his studio debut, Aa, and as the record inches closer, we find him leaving trails of the new record everywhere we turn. From Zane Lowe to Stephen Colbert, Baauer has found a variety of introductory mediums for his new music, including Alexander Wang’s autumn/winter 2016 runway. As it happens, Harry Rodrigues has unveiled “Temples” in a new mix that was commissioned for the show.
The Philadelphia-bred producer has curated a mix stocked with material that reflects the LuckyMe proponent’s straddle between the eclectic and experimental, setting the score for Wang’s upcoming winter clothing line. Selections from Shlohmo to DJ Dodger Stadium are featured on the 45-minute session, blending dark, brooding dance and glitch-hop cuts for a dramatic new mix ahead of Aa’s March 18 release.
