Kygo releases heart-wrenching music video for ‘Stay’
In a matter of a year and a half, Kygo has taken his bubbly, tropical-pop sound and rapidly risen from unknown Internet sensation to landing the cover of Billboard magazine. The Norwegian star’s album has been delayed from its original February release date, but Kygo continues to curb his fans hunger with the official music video for his Maty Noyes-assisted single, “Stay.”
Directed by Jason Beattie, the music video features a Nordic backdrop. Following the trials and tribulations of two female lovers, the video production pulls at viewers’ heartstrings with a story around heartbreak rather than tending to the song’s cheery temperament.
