Lee Foss announces label, Repopulate Mars
Lee Foss has devoted a great deal of time to nourishing his Repopulate Mars party series throughout the past year, spreading his futuristic take on vintage underground sounds across key electronic destinations. His efforts have given way to the next step for the American pioneer: his own label of the same name.
While Foss’s Hot Creations label is known for its deep, warehouse flavor of house and techno, he seeks to use Repopulate Mars as a platform for his eclectic tastes in music lining up with the talent and vibe he’s been promoting through his parties. He defines his vision further: “alien funk for the generation that will repopulate mars.”
The imprint’s debut EP release on March 25 will be a three-track collection from Foss, assuming a thematic title of Repopulation.
Following Repopulation’s release, a bevy of like-minded artists will also be contributing their interpretations of the label’s ethos. MK has already been confirmed, along with Eskuche & Sky, Sonny Fodera, and Flavio Alcaron.
