Lion Coffee + Records teams up with Gap in London

Leading up to record store day April 16, Gap is changing up their offerings from preppy basics to include live performances, vinyl and coffee — at least at their London flagship store.

Teaming up with Lion Coffee + Records to create a pop up shop, the retailer will host coffee, live performances from DJs and acoustic acts for its customers now through record store day. The pop-up shop seeks to bring live music from established and emerging singers, DJs, and musicians to the masses on a weekly basis.

The GAPxLion series of events will include DJ sets from Charlie Salvage of the band TOY, Chis Hayden of Florence + The Machine, Man Like Me, and Cut & Shut Disco.

Lion Coffee + Records’ brick and mortar shop is located in Hackney, provides a mix of coffee, records, and cocktails, and plays host to the bi-weekly Clapton Unplugged event series. The shop is partially owned by the drummer of Florence + The Machine.
