Listen to Baauer’s new single ‘Temples’ with G-Dragon and M.I.A.
K-Pop and dance music have been crossing paths more often than not as of late. From Skrillex’s unsuspected collaboration with 4minute to Diplo and CL’s “Doctor Pepper,” Korea’s biggest stars have been linking up with electronic music pioneers to create groundbreaking bridges between the two genres. Next to join the movement is Baauer‘s highly-anticipated track, “Temples,” alongside K-Pop force G-Dragon and M.I.A, which was premiered this weekend at Alexander Wang’s Fashion Week show.
The trap icon crafts an introduction of Eastern Asia string plucks to lead off the track before M.I.A. enters the mix with addictive hip-hop pad work underneath. About midway through the clip, G-Dragon’s slick lines mold effortlessly with the instrumental until the snippet comes to a close.
“Temples” is the third single from Baauer’s forthcoming LP, Aa, which will be officially released on March 18.
