Moderat explore a dystopian virtual reality in their music video for ‘Reminder’
German production collective Moderat and Berlin-based design studio Pfadfinderei have established a partnership that transcends creativity. After recruiting the help of video production group Sehsucht Berlin, Moderat have released a raw and haunting video for “Reminder,” the first single off their forthcoming album, III.
A deviation from the partnership’s past visual aesthetics, “Reminder” tells the story of a teenager slaving away amidst a crystalline, dystopian grey-land. Featuring animation akin to that of a virtual reality game, Moderat truly immerse viewers in their post-apocalyptic storyline, calling upon their audience to “take a moment to imagine what it would be like to live in that world.”
III will be released April 1 via Monkeytown Records.
