These new shoes can create light shows to live music

Miami-based startup Sync Footwear has created an advanced model of an app-controlled, sound-activated shoe. Their IndieGoGo campaign lists three tiers of pricing based off coloring and light options available, with each pair being outfitted with LED lights, rechargeable batteries in the sole, and bluetooth that allows them to sync with the adjoining app. Sync Footwear creator David Panetierre credits his inspiration to kids shoes he’d seen in previous years with built-in lights, and wanted to create a pair of his own built for the live music setting.

The demonstration video above depicts colors akin to a glove light show, utilizing neon LED lights and a variety of solid, preset, and live settings for portable customization. Sync Footwear’s app, which currently works through Apple, also allows the user to choose from a broad colorwheel of settings.
