The Radar 44: Mixed by QUIX
Australia’s dance scene has become one of the most influential forces in bass music over the last few years, spawning talents like Flume, What So Not, and Alison Wonderland. Although not as large as its sister country, New Zealand has definitely been a crucial force to the Oceanic dance scene’s influence as well with its annual hosting of hardstyle festival Defqon 1, to fostering a young pool of producers inching towards the spotlight.
One artist in particular, QUIX, is on his way into becoming an international trap force having already earned support from RL Grime, Milo & Otis, What So Not, and NGHTMRE. Making his debut on our Radar mix series, QUIX introduces us to his heavy, tribal-flared style of trap music, frenetically running through a bevy of bass-saturated selections.
