SoundCloud Pulse released for iOS

SoundCloud has released their artist-centric app Pulse for Apple’s iOS. The app originally debuted in November of 2015 for the Android operating system.

The new service is the end result of the Berlin-based streaming site’s desire to simplify their user experience for the listener and the creator. Fans can download the company’s standard app to follow their favorite artists and listen to tracks. Pulse, on the other hand, is designed for the artists themselves, allowing them to upload songs, track their upload’s statistics, and interact with comments left on their work.

Despite the rash of bad news about the company recently, SoundCloud hopes the simplification of interaction for the two sides of their community — artist and listener — will lead to a larger, more engaged user base and continued viability for the site.
