Washington DC’s 9:30 Club will host its own TV program on PBS

9:30 Club, located in the northwest section of the nation’s capital, has hosted some of the world’s best musical artists throughout its 35 years of operating including Adele, Drake, Johnny Cash, Prince, Dolly Parton, and many more. The concert house has landed a deal with PBS to launch their own music variety show airing this April called Live At 9:30 Hosted by Squarespace.

Among the first wave of talent to be featured are Tove Lo, Jess Glynne, and Scottish alt rock bands Garbage. Jesus and Mary Chain will be featured on the first three episodes of the hour-long program. The Squarespace-sponsored show will not only include concerts from the artist list but interviews, short films, and stand-up comedy segments from the show’s hosts. Comedians Hannibal Buress and Ralphie May, NPR Music’s Bob Boilen, Ralphie May, and TV personality Jill Kargman are confirmed to moderate various episodes.

Live At 9:30 Hosted by Squarespace will be available for public viewing via the show’s official site.
