Zedd and Aloe Blacc team up for ‘Candyman’
Following the success of his True Colors tour, Zedd has started the year off right, offering to produce a song for Kesha and now crafting a new promotion with M&Ms. For this project, the Grammy winning artist works with vocalist Aloe Blacc to reinvent the classic song “The Candy Man” into a modern version.
In “Candyman,” Zedd departs from his usual electro house sound for a lighthearted future bass feature. The playful synths and keys mesh well with Blacc’s vocals, resulting in a track that’s both mainstream and festival-friendly.
Zedd received further assistance on the song from Grey and Joe Trapanese. He said on SoundCloud: “Huge shout out to my dawgs Grey and Joe Trapanese who helped me record this record! :)”
Take a listen to “Candyman” to hear Zedd’s new track as it radiates with positivity.
