Zedd offers to produce music for Kesha in light of legal battle with Dr. Luke
Arguably the most controversial story in music as of late is Kesha’s ongoing legal disputes with her producer, Dr Luke, and Sony Music. Although authorities seem to be firmly aligned with the predatory producer, the outpouring of public support for Kesha has been awe-inspiring. Taylor Swift, for example, recently donated a generous $250,000 to the singer’s cause.
Zedd has since stepped up to the plate, offering to help produce new music on Kesha’s behalf.
While production from the visionary wouldn’t solve her legal issues, it may generate significant revenue for the embattled star. A veritable sonic King Midas, Zedd’s production seems to magically turn formulaic, basic pop into chart-smashing platinum hits as indicated by previous collaborations with Selena Gomez, Hayley Williams, and Foxes.
Fun. guitarist Jack Antonoff also sounded off on Twitter, offering to help Kesha record an album and suggesting the availability of “anyone I work with.” Considering his musical cohorts include Grimes and How To Dress Well (who retweeted the offer and voiced his own support), the opportunities that lie ahead for Kesha could be monumental.
