Aly & Fila release their commemoration track of the Egyptian Revolution, ‘Freedom’ [Free Download]

The Arab Spring touched Egypt in 2011, launching a revolution that overthrew its dictator and joined the ranks of other North African and Middle Eastern countries facing uprisings calling out for fairer government ruling. Egypt had reached a new beginning – one filled with optimism and the hope that peace would be brought to the country at the hands of democratically-elected leaders.

Aly & Fila composed a song that same year to express their feelings about their country’s revolution through an uplifting trance medium. “Freedom” was the result, taking listeners on a rejuvenating trek through haunting melodies that are elated in tone, yet also carry the weight of darker times in their construction.
