Amtrac – Long Nights (Durante Remix)
Kevin Durante, known mononymously by his last name in the electronic music world, started off as an OWSLA intern before working there full time and releasing his own music on the Skrillex-owned imprint. Since the beginning of his musical career, the Italian-born producer has managed to rise beyond the label’s typical bass music boundaries to adopt a gritty tech house-inspired sound that is still dance friendly.
For his latest, Durante whips up a crafty remix of “Long Nights” by Amtrac, weaving in thumping bass with steady synths. Durante is thankful that Amtrac let him remix “Long Nights,” which he says has deeper meaning beyond the original track’s title.
“Long nights close with a sun rise. With or without friends, the end isn’t always the focus,” says Durante. “The importance is the journey that got you there.”
