CounterPoint Music Festival cancelled for 2016
In a message posted to their official Facebook page, CounterPoint Music Festival has announced that the festival will not go on in 2016.
CounterPoint — which only last year attracted big name acts such as Zedd, Kygo, Knife Party, Dillon Francis, and RL Gime — did not give a reason for the cancellation, offering only that it will “not be returning to Kingston Downs this Spring.” Kingston Downs, located in the rolling Georgia countryside outside of Atlanta, had been the festival’s home since its inaugural event in 2012.
The message goes on to assuage fans’ fears that the festival is dead, with “several options” being considered for the festival’s eventual return. Until then, CounterPoint urges fans to “remember to embody the ideals the festival was founded on: break out of the mold, continue to think differently and always, always be the CounterPoint.”
