It was early last year when Justin Jay‘s side project, Justin Jay & Friends, began to take form when he invited his buddies to join him on stage at Coachella’s Do LaB. It wasn’t until later on in the year, however, that the project’s first single came out in the form of “Karma.” The indie-house collaborative venture followed the debut single up with “Weatherman,” which also came with an announcement that Justin Jay & Friends would be releasing an album consisting of various EPs.

Now, they’ve continued to showcase the project with a new track called “Can’t Complain.” Coalescing Justin Jay’s vast knowledge of house music’s intricacies with Josh Taylor’s pacific vocals and Benny Bridges’ slick guitar licks, the crew find the sweet spot in creating a mellow, oceanside atmosphere that fans of both organic indie rock and the more delicate genres of house can get on board with.
