MSTRKRFT break five-year radio silence with new single
Premiered via A-Trak’s Beats 1 show “Day Off Radio,” MSTRKRFT have broken their five-year silence with a new acid house/techno hybrid, “Little Red Hen.” Starting out on in more techno territory, the track slow develops a heavy acid house groove, courtesy of some increasingly resonant filters. While the arrangement builds in intensity and complexity, MSTRKRFT let the track ebb and flow with masterful ease.
With “Little Red Hen,” MSTRKRFT show that even after half a decade, they still have everything it takes to stay on the cutting edge.
The duo recently reactivated their Twitter account and have been hinting at a new album. Alongside the first new music in years, they will be playing their first show in equally as long at SXSW next week.
