Nicole Moudaber releases ‘Where Shadows Lie’ EP on Intec Digital

Three months into 2016 and the queen of somber, driving techno, Nicole Moudaber, shows no signs of slowing down. It had previously been announced that she would be returning to Carl Cox‘s imprint, Intec Digital, for the release of her Where Shadows Lie EP, and now the two tracks are out for all to hear in their brilliantly dark glory. While it has been two years since Moudaber’s last release on Intec Digital, listeners of Where Shadows Lie would be none the wiser.

Expertly tapping into the bone chilling ambience cultivated by so many of her earlier releases, Moudaber has put the focus on persistent, industrial techno embellished with gritty kicks and fragmented vocals. Title track, “Where Shadows Lie,” falls a few minutes short in length to its counterpart, but manages to pack in just as much punch, with a hammering beat that reverberates straight to the core. B-side, Old Soul ‘Young But Not New,’” has already been the stimulant behind many a shadowy dancefloor, its bellowing drums enough to instill movement in the even most dormant of ears.

Next up for Moudaber is a Miami Music Week celebration in honor of episode 100 of In The Mood Radio on March 17.
