Sam Sure’s union with Black Butter Records began one year ago courtesy of “Hunger,” but has been a sparing one from the 21st century crooner with left of field club floors in mind. With his Catching Feelings EP just around the corner, the London-based artist is teasing his triumphant return to the label with an early slice of the short player’s musical body. “Stay There” is a scatty concoction of heavy bodied house music with a nostalgic indie dance tint, one that works wonders alongside the UK prospects signature vocal flare. This is a versatile extension of Black Butter’s endless musical reign, but Sam Sure’s incoming short-player could be one of their most intriguing prospects of the past 12 months.
