Electro house duo Botnek tackled an unexpected original for their latest remix effort — Twenty One Pilots radio mainstay “Stressed Out.” The track is entirely reimagined around the mostly-original vocal, with instrumentals replaced by distorted bass and heavy percussion.

The growling drop is an unexpected foray into a style of electro house not always associated with Botnek. As the track progresses, the style shifts from electronic to metal-inspired — a hint of what’s to come from the group. “We love the band and original track, so we chose to reimagine the track, toughening it up in our own way,” Botnek relayed about their inspiration for the remix.
