Watch This: The Chainsmokers’ Drew explains how he made the drop from ‘Roses’
Aspiring producers may want to add one more YouTube channel subscription to their arsenal to help hone their craft. In the first episode of a new video tutorial series, How We Made It, Drew Taggart of The Chainsmokers explains how he built the instantly-recognizable drop from the duo’s hit record “Roses.”
The eight-minute tutorial is fairly in-depth, and contains helpful technical tips for producers as well as points of interest for the casual music fan. He explains that he “taught myself to produce off of YouTube tutorials, so I figured it was about time to give back and show people how we make our music.” There will be more tutorials to come, based on requests that the duo gets through their Twitter and Snapchat (@thechainsmokers).
