Watch This: Gallant and Seal perform ‘Weight in Gold’
At the top of the new year, Christopher Gallant launched a new video series entitled “In the Room”: a project that intends to honor and showcase original work with the artists that have inspired him the most. What began in the first episode as a cover of Drake’s “Hotline Bling” alongside Sufjan Stevens quickly made way for an impressive second episode: a duet with Seal of Gallant’s acclaimed “Weight in Gold.” Together, the pair’s emotive toplines complement one another to usher in a robust, jazzy cover of the song that skyrocketed Gallant to fame.
