Watch This: Go behind the scenes of Disclosure’s live setup

The brothers behind Disclosure, Guy and Howard Lawrence, have given Red Bull Music Academy an in-depth look into how they put on their live show. After watching the extensive video, clocking in at nearly 16-minutes, you’ll realize the heavy emphasis the duo put on “live.”

The video is split roughly between each brother’s station; Guy handles the majority of the drum and rhythm work while Howard focuses on playing synths and the electric bass. Both station are individually impressive, with Guy’s blending live drums with pads to trigger different samples and electronic percussion. Howard’s features a plethora of different synthesizers and his trademark Fender Jazz bass.

There is some technical jargon but not enough to overwhelm those who don’t have any knowledge into whats goes into putting on an electronic show. Perhaps the most interesting portions of the video are the revelation of a completely live jam that is different for each performance, the efforts made to prevent computer failure that would cut the entire show off, and how the brothers deal with malfunctions and mishaps while performing.

For fans of electronic music in general, the video is a must watch. It provides an impressive peak behind the curtains of one of the more innovative and ambitious live setups in the game. You can watch the video in full above.
