Destructo says HARD Summer will be 18+

Two drug-related deaths at HARD Summer 2015 led the events company, founded by Destructo, to perform a comprehensive reevaluation of its policies to prevent further tragedy. In an effort to head off Los Angeles’ proposed ban on electronic music festivals, HARD made numerous changes to its Day of the Dead festival in 2015, including an attendance cap, increased security, and, most notably, an increase of the minimum age allowed in from 18+ to 21+. These measures were successful, despite insistence otherwise, in creating a safe environment for fans of electronic music.

Now, it appears that HARD and its founder are feeling confident enough in their revamped policies to once again allow the 18+ crowd back into their festivals. When asked by a fan on Twitter about the age restrictions, Destructo responded:

While this isn’t exactly an official confirmation, it’s about as close as we can get in the interim considering it’s coming from Destructo himself. HARD Summer will be held in Los Angeles on July 30-31.
