HARD Summer becomes a camping festival; reveals Porter Robinson, Ice Cube, Unlike Pluto and more
HARD Presents’ flagship event, HARD Summer, has become a beacon of LA’s thriving electronic music culture. While the city serve as its own booming hub for dance music, HARD Summer has grown to be a revered institution on the annual festival circuit. Outdoing themselves in past years with one of the most creative rollouts anyone has ever attempted, HARD has delivered a star-studded roster for 2016’s event.
Headlining duties this year go to former N.W.A. legend Ice Cube, Flosstradamus, and Porter Robinson on the event’s first day, followed by Major Lazer, Dillon Francis and Zeds Dead on day two. Top billed names for the festival also include Baauer, Boys Noize, Tchami and DJ Khaled, for an impeccable blend of hip-hop and dance. Underground flavors from Drezo and Josh Pan are balanced by Anderson .Paak and AlunaGeorge, while AC Slater, Madeon, and Claude Vonstroke present a diverse range of house for one of the most disparate lineups of the season.
Finding a new home at Auto Club Speedway, the event runs from July 30-31. The lineup keeps its finger on the pulse of the underground and packs in a heathy dose of hip-hop, with cutting-edge newcomers matching seasoned veteran talent as Destructo and company prepare for their first-ever, 18+ camping event.
