Listen to Jack Ü’s wild Coachella Weekend 2 set
Skrllex and Diplo’s super-group Jack Ü has become a legendary name in electronic music. Both its famous members have earned a series of accolades across the music industry for accomplishments like their collaboration with Justin Bieber “Where Are Ü Now” reaching triple platinum and winning a slew of music awards including Grammys.
The duo had high expectations to meet for their debut Coachella appearance, and thus surprised fans with a brief Kanye West cameo which unfortunately didn’t go as well as planned due to mic issues. However, they came back in full force for Weekend 2, piecing together an energized set full of new and older Jack Ü and trap edits that maintained a wild, dance-fueled atmosphere during their time at the Outdoor Theatre. Their set played out without hindrance, this time with AlunaGeorge making a surprise appearance to sing “To Ü.”
Jack Ü also made sure to honor the late Prince, whose death has already had a major impact across all mediums of art. The act donated the last part of their set to playing fragments of the deceased’s biggest tunes as pictures of him flashed across the LED screen. Their full set is available below.
